The procedure of customs clearance

On the preparatory stage of goods delivery it’s necessary to collect and analyze a set of  documents needed for customs clearance.

If the company participating in FEA imports goods to the territory of CU for the first time or didn’t execute the cargo in specific customs, it’s necessary to collect a set of primary documents. Standard set of documents contains documents which are made specially for the cargo. They are: invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, a consignment, CMR, specification, a contract (if it’s the first delivery), an annex to the contract. 

Some groups of goods need certificates of conformity, certificates of state registration, veterinary certificates and other permission documents, defined by measures of non-tariff regulation. Concurrently with the submission of declaration the participant has to provide payment documents, which list customs charges to the budget of the Russian Federation.

It often takes a lot of time for customs charges to go to the account of the customs or sometimes there’s not enough money. As the result, the procedures of customs clearance and receiving of goods are delayed. But it’s possible to avoid such problems if you use a customs card. It allows paying customs charges during the submission of the declaration and paying the amount promptly.
